Two Methods to Check Ration Card Status in Karnataka (ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸುವ ವಿಧಾನಗಳು)
Method 1: Verification Without OTP (OTP ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ನೇರ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ)
Best for an immediate check when you need card active status, Fair Price Shop dealer information, and monthly Annabhagya grain allocation:
- Enter your 12-digit Ration Card Number in the input box.
- Select your district or region from the dropdown.
- Choose "Without OTP" and click Check Ration Card Status.
- On the official portal, paste your card number into the "RC No" field and click Go to see your details.
Method 2: Verification With Aadhaar OTP (OTP ಮೂಲಕ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ)
Best when you need to inspect all family members, age records, and Aadhaar linkage compliance:
- Enter your 12-digit Ration Card Number.
- Select "With Aadhaar OTP" and click Check Ration Card Status.
- The official Ahara portal opens directly in verification mode for your card number.
- Enter the 6-digit OTP sent to the registered family head's mobile number to reveal the full family roster and download the e-Ration card.

Karnataka Annabhagya Scheme & Monthly Ration Entitlements (ಅನ್ನಭಾಗ್ಯ ಯೋಜನೆ ಪಡಿತರ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ)
The Government of Karnataka guarantees monthly food security through the flagship Annabhagya Scheme, combining the central National Food Security Act (NFSA) allocation with state additions.
Card Categories: AAY, PHH (BPL), and NPHH (APL)
- PHH (Priority Household / BPL): Receives 5 kg of free foodgrains per member each month at ₹0.00. Foodgrains include NFSA rice, Annabhagya rice, and millets (Ragi in Southern Karnataka, Jowar in Northern Karnataka).
- AAY (Antyodaya Anna Yojana): Poorest of the poor families receive 35 kg of free foodgrains per household card every month regardless of family size.
- NPHH (Non-Priority / APL): Entitled to subsidized grain supplies subject to local stock availability at non-subsidized economic issue rates.
Cash Transfer (DBT) vs Physical Grain Allocation
To fulfill the commitment of 10 kg rice per person, Karnataka provides 5 kg physical foodgrains under NFSA and transfers ₹170 per person per month (₹34/kg for 5 kg) directly via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the Aadhaar-seeded bank account of the female head of the family when open-market rice procurement is restricted.
